About the role
The Auto Club Group (ACG) is seeking a Field Life Agent to join our team. This position involves outside sales activities, primarily within ACG branch locations, to drive new business with competitive products and help retain ACG's 14+ million members. The ideal candidate must possess valid state life sales licenses, maintain necessary licenses, and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in successfully soliciting and selling life insurance products.
Responsibilities
- Solicit and sell Life & Health insurance and Annuity products under minimal supervision
- Develop leads and prospects for new accounts through various marketing activities
- Prepare proposals and close sales of Life, Health, Annuity, Membership, and Financial Services products
- Complete appropriate applications, forms, and follow internal processing procedures
- Work collaboratively with others in the Branch to reach business goals, maximize leads, sales opportunities, and take advantage of cross-sell opportunities
- Absorb and reflect customer insurance requirements consistent with company standards when writing policies
- Assess and articulate the tax and legal impacts of the products to customers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Represent ACG Life in a professional and positive manner
- Safely operate a motor vehicle to travel to various locations for meetings or community events
- Comply with company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Valid State Life Sales licenses
- Maintain Life and Health licenses required to sell products
- Valid State driver’s license
- Ability to take and pass LUTC or CLU coursework
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience with a proven record of successfully soliciting and selling life insurance products
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of Life Insurance and Annuity products and services
- Ability to listen to and analyze customer needs and make recommendations
- Effective communication skills to explain complex information clearly
- Ability to prepare proposals and conduct closing interviews
- Strong organizational, planning, time management, and administrative skills
- Proficient writing skills to compose routine correspondence
- Good PC skills including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and email
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Pay
Annual Base Pay: $25,000 (non-exempt, eligible for overtime)
Unlimited Leads, at no cost
Elevated tiered commissions for the first 12 months
Schedule
Works in a temperature-controlled office environment. Limited travel required for community events, with exposure to road hazards and temperature extremes.
