Life Enrichment Director

About the role

The Life Enrichment Director at Touchmark at Emerald Lake is responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of an activities and wellness program that meets the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of residents. This role involves working closely with the Resident Services Director, Executive Director, and Retirement Counselors to support future residents joining the community. The director also plays a key role in defining the community culture by identifying resident groups with similar interests and planning regular social events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and execution of an activities and wellness program tailored to the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of residents.
• Collaborate with the Resident Services Director, Executive Director, and Retirement Counselors to support future residents joining the community.
• Identify resident groups with similar interests and plan regular social events to foster a sense of community.
• Develop and execute an annual life enrichment budget and strategic plan that aligns with the company's and community's goals.
• Brainstorm and coordinate ideas for trips and tours, organize transportation, and build relationships with residents and future residents.

Requirements

• A four-year degree in a field related to Life Enrichment, Health and Wellness, or a combination of education and experience in Senior Retirement Life Enrichment programs.
• Two years of experience with Senior Retirement Life Enrichment programs.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to plan, direct, supervise, and facilitate the Life Enrichment Program with integrity, empathy, and resourcefulness.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn organization-specific software.
• A genuine interest and enthusiasm for the health and well-being of aging adults, including those with Alzheimer’s and dementia, and knowledge of the psychosocial perspectives of older adults.
• Ability to develop and execute an annual life enrichment budget and strategic plan that meets the goals and expectations of the company and the community.
