Pay, Benefits & Perks

Responsibilities

  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Develop, coordinate, and maintain a monthly life enrichment calendar that offers a variety of meaningful activities and events
    • Ensure programming addresses the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and recreational needs of residents
    • Plan and facilitate individual, small group, and large group activities
    • Incorporate resident preferences, interests, hobbies, and life histories into programming
    • Evaluate and adjust activities based on resident participation and feedback
  • Resident Engagement
    • Complete resident assessments related to activity interests and preferences upon admission and periodically thereafter
    • Encourage participation and foster inclusion among all residents, including those with cognitive or physical limitations
    • Develop individualized engagement opportunities for residents unable or unwilling to participate in group activities
    • Promote resident independence, dignity, and choice in all programming
  • Community Relations and Special Events
    • Coordinate community events, holiday celebrations, educational programs, and entertainment
    • Develop relationships with volunteers, schools, churches, community organizations, and entertainers to enhance programming
    • Coordinate outings and transportation arrangements as appropriate
    • Promote family involvement in community events and activities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency is preferred
  • Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, their family members, and facility staff
  • Must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication
