Responsibilities
- Lead volunteer-based activities and enrichment programs that enhance the lives of Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.
- Collaborate with department leaders and the Executive Director to build and maintain relationships with local schools, businesses, and community organizations to develop a strong volunteer and resource network.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive calendar of activities and events that promote resident engagement, family involvement, and meaningful experiences.
- Monitor and manage departmental budgets, expenses, and financial performance to ensure alignment with operational goals.
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and retain a high-performing life enrichment team while fostering a culture of teamwork and engagement.
- Create innovative programs that support resident independence, cognitive stimulation, social connection, and overall well-being.
- Ensure activities and programs comply with all applicable state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and continuously enhance offerings based on resident interests and feedback.
Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of supervisory experience, preferably in senior living, recreation, or a related field.
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality programming.
- Ability to maintain required state-level certifications or licenses (such as CDL if applicable for resident transportation duties).
- Working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to resident services and care.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new systems and applications.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends to meet resident needs and support special events.
