About the role

The Life Enrichment Coordinator-Memory Care position at CRISTA Senior Living is responsible for enhancing the quality of life for residents through innovative, personalized, and purpose-driven programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily group and one-on-one Life Enrichment activities, adapting as needed based on resident mood and cognition.
  • Create and distribute monthly newsletters and activity calendars for Crista Courtyard and Garden Residents across Independent and Assisted Living.
  • Coordinate family visits, support groups, scenic drives and seasonal celebrations.
  • Support each resident’s physical, cognitive, emotional and mental wellbeing through engaging, purposeful Life Enrichment activities.
  • Lead enriching, meaningful daily programs designed for residents with dementia and Alzheimer's, fostering engagement through emotional well-being specialized activities.
  • Collaborate with care staff to align memory care programs with residents’ needs.
  • Implement Life Enrichment activities to support the unique physical and cognitive abilities of residents with memory loss, ensuring each person feels recognized, included, and valued.
  • Serve as a welcoming and compassionate point of contact for family members, guests and volunteers.
  • Send timely communication using Carefeed and other platforms to foster connection and transparency.
  • Administer CPR and Food Handler’s certification.
  • Lead and implement community-wide programs, including spiritual, cultural, physical and creative life enrichment activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date reservations for activity spaces using Microsoft Outlook.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in memory care or classroom setting.
  • Experience working with Seniors and Dementia.
  • Experience coordinating volunteers or intergenerational programs.
  • Technical training, including onboarding, instruction or skill building with peers and volunteers.
  • Experience teaching or leading group fitness, dance, yoga, chair-based movement or other body-based programming in a senior or memory care setting.
  • CPR and Food Handler’s certification.
  • Dementia and Mental Health Certification training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree.
