About the role

The Life Enrichment Coordinator at Eventide Lincoln in Lincoln, NE is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating programs and activities that stimulate or soothe seniors/clients/residents. They ensure these programs align with each individual’s comprehensive assessment and care plan.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and evaluates programs and activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Carrries a Senior/client case load, providing activities and participates in the development and implementation of plans of care for this population.
  • Ensures health services provided by the Life Enrichment program are provided in the most appropriate setting, as dictated by the Senior’s/client's medical and social needs.
  • Conducts surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of programs.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains an ongoing performance improvement program for the Life Enrichment program.
  • Assures preliminary and comprehensive assessments are developed, updated, and maintained according to program standards and state and federal regulations for each Senior/client.
  • Prepares and plans the Life Enrichment program's budget and submits to the Administrator for review, recommendations, and/or approval.
  • Provides Administrator with information relative to the activity needs of the Seniors/clients and the Life Enrichment program’s ability to meet those needs.
  • Participates and manages surveys by authorized government and accrediting agencies.

Requirements

  • Age requirement: At least 18 years old.
  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or field, preferred.
  • Experience: One year of full-time experience in a resident activities program in a health care setting, required. One year experience coordinating a resident activities program in a geriatric health care setting preferred.
  • Credentials: Qualified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Therapeutic Recreation Assistant preferred.
  • License: Valid Nebraska Driver’s license (unless otherwise allowed by law) and a good driving record required. Must possess auto insurance at or above Nebraska statutory requirements.
  • Vaccinations: Must meet Eventide’s vaccination requirements.

  • Must be able to meet Eventide’s vaccination requirements.

Skills

  • Therapeutic recreation skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement activity programs.
  • Knowledge of health services and their appropriate settings.
  • Experience with survey evaluation and performance improvement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

Starting pay range of $17-19.04 per hour for Life Enrichment Coordinators based on qualifications, experience, and location.

Schedule

Full-time position with holidays and weekends in rare situations.
