Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activity programs of the community for both assisted living and memory care units
- Lead activities such as exercise classes, sing-alongs, brain power activities, sports, art classes, and reading
- Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement to evaluate facility activities and resident progress
- Involve residents and their families in planning activity programs when possible
- Follow Activities protocol and infection control guidelines
Requirements
- Must be flexible, dependable, and able to work well under pressure
- Must be a self-starter with creativity
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs
