Responsibilities
- Aid in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating activity programs.
- Observe and document resident attendance, mood and engagement; note and report behaviors to support resident progress.
- Participate in community planning related to resident interests, services and needs.
- Support activity-related involvement in discharge planning, care planning and resident assessments.
- Include residents and families in developing activity goals and program participation when possible.
- Refer residents or families to Social Services when appropriate.
- Cook up activities with other departments as needed.
- Maintain charting accuracy, descriptiveness and resident responses to services provided.
- Arrange transportation for campus events and outings as needed.
- Complete required forms, reports and administrative documentation for the Life Enrichment Director.
- Build positive working relationships with other departments to ensure smooth daily programming.
- Create an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and calm throughout the facility.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Prior senior living or skilled nursing activity experience is helpful but not required.
- Current Chauffer's license OR willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a passion for serving seniors.
- Willingness to lead activity events and engage with residents.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
