Life Enrichment & Activities Assistant, Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Leads and assists with individual and group activities, transports residents, and encourages participation in recreational activities based on individual needs and plan of care. Documents resident participation as appropriate.
• Empowers residents to develop interpersonal relationships, socialize effectively, and build confidence to participate in activity programming.
• Ensures residents arrive at scheduled activities, outings, and appointments on time, including transporting residents as needed.
• Maintains supplies in an orderly manner and notifies supervisor of supply needs.
• Monitors daily and monthly calendars of events, outings, and recreational opportunities for residents.
• Assists and supports all workers and positions in the building, identifying and addressing needs as they arise.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the facility, including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to Know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, and Fair Housing laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience caring for seniors.
• Activity Assistant Certified (AAC), ADC, or CTRC certification.

Schedule

• Part-Time: 31 hours bi-weekly.
• Shifts: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM every Monday.
• Shifts: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM every Thursday and Saturday.
• Position works in Assisted Living & Memory Care.

Pay

The targeted pay range for this job is $17 to $20 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay, including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.
