Life Enhancement Assistant

What You'll Do

• Assist with all life enrichment programming for residents across all cognitive levels, including those living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
• Create experiences that go far beyond bingo - designing moments of connection, comfort, and happiness every single day.
• Lead engaging small group, large group, and one-on-one activities at the direction of the Life Enhancement Director.
• Assist in creating dementia-specific programming focused on sensory stimulation, emotional connection, and individualized engagement.
• Aid in developing a full, vibrant monthly activity calendar.
• Coordinate with volunteers and special event organizers.
• Maintain a welcoming, organized, and uplifting activity space.
• Partner with leadership to ensure programs meet AZDHS requirements and community standards.
• Communicate with families, residents, and team members to encourage participation and connection.
• (10-20%) of the role will involve caregiving assistance and support.

Who We're Looking For

• The right person for this role brings both heart and experience. You understand dementia, you love working with seniors, and you thrive when you can make someone's day better.
• You have at least 2 years of experience in a senior living or long-term care environment.
• You have at least 1 year of experience working directly with individuals living with dementia or cognitive impairment.
• You have a strong understanding of person-centered memory care, redirection, and engagement.
• You are able to stay organized, communicate clearly, and lead with compassion.
• You must also have (or be able to obtain) Arizona Certified Caregiver certification, CPR / First Aid, AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card, valid driver's license, and ability to drive community vehicles.
• You hold an Arizona Memory Care Certificate.
