About the role
Aquila Blasting & Vacuum Services Inc. was chosen to tackle a unique and challenging project involving the removal of thick concrete slurry from a 3-meter high pillar at the Keeyask Generation Project. The project required specialized expertise to safely and efficiently remove 4,944 cubic feet (140 cubic meters) of concrete slurry while adhering to strict environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Removal of thick concrete slurry from a 3-meter high pillar using Aquajet technology
- Integration of the removal process into the overall project timeline
- Ensuring minimal environmental impact through the use of an EcoClear water treatment system
- Collaboration with project stakeholders to integrate the demolition into the project's schedule
Requirements
- Specialized knowledge in hydrodemolition techniques
- Experience with high-pressure cleaning systems for industrial applications
- Ability to work in remote locations with extreme weather conditions
- Compliance with stringent environmental regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
