About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Licensed Water and Wastewater Project Manager to lead a team in Pampa, TX. The Project Manager will oversee operations, compliance reporting, maintenance, and quality control testing of a 6 MGD surface water treatment plant and a 3 MGD wastewater treatment plant. They will also manage 8 operating water wells and 2 WW lift stations.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of pumps, valves, motors, and related equipment, water and waste water process control, and safe work practices.
  • Monitor, record, and operate water and wastewater treatment processes; diagnose operating problems and direct corrective procedures.
  • Prepare required reports and maintain complete recordkeeping procedures.
  • Analyze recording instrument readings and laboratory test results and adjust plant processes accordingly.
  • Perform plant inspections to determine efficiency, cleanliness, and maintenance activities, including remedial action in emergencies.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and train employees.
  • Lead a team of certified operators and manage project’s financials and safety performance.

Requirements

  • Texas Surface Water Treatment Class B Certification
  • Texas Wastewater Treatment Class B Certification, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months
  • Five years of progressive experience in water and wastewater treatment
  • Able to travel up to 10%
  • Valid State Driver’s License with no major infractions

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience in water and wastewater treatment operations; general equipment maintenance; and safe work practices
  • Associates or College degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Business Administration (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of laboratory practices and certification
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the client, the public, coworkers, elected and appointed officials
  • Fundamentals of preparing and executing budgets
  • Experience in report preparations
  • Proficiency or knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Maintenance Connection, and HachWIMS

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $92,000.00 to $115,000.00. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
