About The Role

Our client, a leading employee benefits consulting organization specializing in voluntary benefits, group insurance programs, and benefits education, is seeking Licensed Voluntary Benefits Enrollment Advisors to support employees during the annual open enrollment season. This organization partners with some of the nation's largest employers and is committed to helping employees make informed decisions about their benefit options through exceptional service and education. This is a fully remote opportunity for customer-focused professionals who are passionate about helping others. Advisors serve as an extension of Human Resources teams, guiding employees through benefit enrollment and answering questions with empathy, patience, and professionalism. This is a service-focused role with no sales responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls from employees during open enrollment periods
  • Educate employees on available voluntary benefit offerings and enrollment options
  • Assist individuals with completing benefit enrollments and updating elections
  • Explain benefit plan details and answer coverage-related questions
  • Deliver a high-quality customer experience through compassionate and personalized service
  • Document interactions accurately and maintain confidentiality of employee information
  • Collaborate with team leads and management to ensure excellent service delivery
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees navigating benefits decisions

Schedule

  • Fully remote position available anywhere within the United States
  • Must be available to work between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM Eastern Time
  • Standard schedule is approximately 40 hours per week
  • Overtime required during peak enrollment periods, particularly:
    • Mid-October through open enrollment peak season
    • Additional overtime opportunities in January
  • Extended shifts may run until approximately 8:00 PM Eastern Time during high-volume periods
  • Candidates must provide their own computer and reliable high-speed internet connection

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Life and Health Insurance License in any U.S. state
  • Previous customer service, call center, benefits administration, healthcare, insurance, or related experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex information in a clear and easy-to-understand manner
  • Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, professionalism, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume phone environment
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection
  • Personal computer/laptop capable of supporting remote work technology (PC preferred)
  • Dedicated, professional workspace free from distractions
  • Ability to work required Eastern Time business hours and overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting open enrollment or employee benefits programs
  • Experience assisting customers with insurance or voluntary benefits questions
  • Professional experience within the insurance, benefits, healthcare, or HR industries
  • Familiarity with enrollment platforms and remote customer support tools
  • Experience working with large employer-sponsored benefit programs
  • Bilingual language skills

Pay

$20 - $22/hr
