About the role
The LVN Manager will oversee all day-to-day clinical and administrative activities for NHF Recuperative Care, focusing on quality of guest care, staff development, and health-related programming.
Responsibilities and Initiatives
- Train, develop, and manage LVN/Medical Coordinator staff to ensure compliance with laws and company best practices.
- Collaborate with other managers and Nurse Practitioner Administrative to address concerns, make recommendations, and plan strategically.
- Develop and implement health-related programming to enhance guest satisfaction and ensure consistent service quality.
- Provide oversight and administration of required documentation and records, including responding to medical records audits.
- Delegate and manage a small caseload to support the department.
- Ensure departmental team conducts TB screenings and cough logs as needed.
- Manage staff time and attendance, including PTO requests, department coverage, and performance management.
- Participate in case conferencing team meetings, daily board reviews, and staff meetings.
- Review and process timecards, ensuring compliance with CA employment laws.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, guests, and visitors.
- Travel to multiple Recuperative Care sites, if applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
- Licensed Vocational Nurse licensed to practice in California and in good standing.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (CPR/First Aid/AED).
- Minimum 3 years of progressive Management experience, with strong clinical leadership in other positions considered.
- Organized, detail-oriented, able to handle confidential information, and effective communicator.
- Able to multi-task, problem-solve, meet deadlines, and follow through in a fast-paced environment.
- Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
- TB testing required.
- Fingerprint live scan background check required.
- Reliable transportation.
