About the Role
Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer or House Supervisor, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Licensed Vocational Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.
Schedule
Flexible scheduling with the following PRN requirements:
- Tier 2: Provide 6 shift availability per month, including 1 full weekend per month, 2 major holidays, and 1 minor holiday.
- Tier 3: Provide 8 shift availability per month, including 1 full weekend per month, 2 major holidays, and 1 minor holiday.
Requirements
- Holds current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse in the state where the hospital resides.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards required.
- One year of inpatient behavioral health nursing experience preferred but not required.
