Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is an acute psychiatric and behavioral healthcare facility in Bakersfield, California. Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care on inpatient units.
• Collaborates with patients, significant others, and medical providers to collect and analyze data regarding physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, spiritual, cultural, and discharge needs.
• Assists medical providers with rounds and medication administration.
• Demonstrates thorough, concise, and timely documentation, shift reports, and verbal communications.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment within the LVN scope of practice.
• Coordinates services with medical staff, nursing staff, and other departments.
• Responds rapidly and effectively during emergency situations.
• Maintains clinical skills and follows policies and procedures.
• Assists in monitoring, procuring, and inventorying supplies and equipment.
• Communicates with others in an appropriate and timely manner, maintaining confidentiality.
• Adheres to and promotes the organization's values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Appropriate vocational training.
• One (1) year experience working in a behavioral/psychiatric facility preferred.
• Current LVN license in the State of California.
• CPR certification.
• Handle with Care certification (prior to orientation).
