Licensed Vocational Nurse - Heart Failure Clinic

About the Role

This position provides patient care under supervision of physicians or registered nurses, adhering to established standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks such as obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens, including phlebotomy.
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures, as well as patient flow management.
• Answer and record phone messages, schedule tests, and assist with medication refills.
• Administer medications and immunizations as ordered, and maintain cleanliness and restocking of exam rooms and equipment.
• Perform routine clerical duties like chart retrieval, filing, and completing forms.
• Attend meetings, in-service trainings, and perform additional assigned duties.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Licensed LVN in the state of employment or a recognized compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
