Licensed Vocational Nurse - Gastroenterology

About the Role

Provides patient care under supervision of physicians or registered nurses, following established standards and practices.

• Performs clinical duties, including obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, collecting specimens, and assisting with examinations and procedures.
• Supports patient flow, answers phone calls, schedules tests, documents patient information, and assists with medication refills.
• Administers medications and immunizations as ordered.
• Cleans and restocks exam rooms, and maintains equipment following policies.
• Performs routine clerical tasks such as chart retrieval, filing, and completing forms.
• Attends meetings and training as required, and performs other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Active LVN license in the state of employment or a compact state.
• BLS certification.
