Licensed Vocational Nurse - FT Days - Arcadia Peds

About the role

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) supports the physician and nursing staff in the delivery of healthcare by performing patient care assessments and a variety of medically related tasks. The LVN is a licensed nurse who works in an ambulatory care setting to provide nursing services within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Convey and receive written/verbal information to/from various audiences in different formats.
• Maintain privacy, confidentiality, and anonymity of patient care and business matters.
• Interpret and apply knowledge of State, Federal, and Agency standards to comply with regulations.
• Deliver safe, appropriate, ethical, and evidence-based care in an effective, efficient, and professional manner.
• Use discretion and incorporate feedback, self-reflection, sound clinical reasoning, and problem-solving to improve quality of care and operational processes.
• Use software applications and operate technological devices (e.g., computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone).
• Operate mechanical/medical devices and equipment proficiently within specialty area.
• Demonstrate time management, priority setting, and ability to handle multiple demands or complex priorities.
• Work independently, forge relationships, and manage multiple tasks with minimal direction.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Diploma from an accredited Vocational/Technical LVN program required.
• Current unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by the State of California.
• Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• 1 year of LVN experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Intravenous Therapy & Blood Withdrawal Certificate issued by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

Pay

The estimated base rate for this position is $30.30 - $45.45 per hour. Additional individual compensation may be available through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc.
