About the role
As an LVN at Nueces County Jail, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering care to a vulnerable population under the guidance of RNs and medical providers.
Responsibilities
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered
- Aiding with activities of daily living and therapeutic interventions
- Taking vital signs and monitoring patient conditions
- Providing wound care and changing dressings
- Serving as a vital part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
Requirements
- Active unrestricted LVN license in state of practice
- 1-2 years of nursing experience (correctional experience preferred)
- Active CPR certification
Qualifications
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Adaptability in high-pressure settings
