About the role

DaVita is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide care in an outpatient dialysis center. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.

Responsibilities

Deliver care in an empathetic and compassionate manner, similar to how you would want your own care to be.
Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting.
Work with a team that supports and relies on each other in a positive environment.
Provide care to patients who often face multiple co-morbidities, requiring unique treatment plans and leveraging a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge.
Work in a fast-paced environment, combining head, heart, and hands in your daily duties.

Requirements

No dialysis experience required; training may take place in a facility or training clinic other than your assigned home clinic.
Float to various clinics during and after your training.
A flexible schedule is necessary, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a LVN preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years experience in Dialysis, In-Center Hemodialysis (ICHD) preferred.
Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice required.
Current CPR certification required.
IV certification required if required by state regulations.
Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating the water treatment system.
BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation.
One year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required; functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita within 90 days of hire required.
