Our technicians are crucial in delivering exceptional patient care by taking technician appointments, assisting with surgery, coordinating and executing treatment plans, and providing thorough client education. Pine Woods Animal Hospital is a progressive, 7-doctor practice with a close-knit, long-tenured team and a strong reputation in the community. Our unique two-building campus—featuring a dedicated Wellness Center and Surgery & Rehabilitation Center—allows us to offer advanced services like acupuncture, rehab therapy, dentistry with full-mouth radiographs, and complex soft-tissue surgery. You’ll work alongside a strong team of LVTs, experienced assistants, and collaborative doctors with diverse clinical interests, all in a fully paperless hospital that prioritizes efficiency, communication, and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
  • Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication.
  • Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.
  • Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of veterinary technician experience.
  • Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of New York.

  • Radiology & lab sample collection.

Pay

$23–$26 per hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Full-time position with a flexible schedule. Availability needed Monday–Friday and usually 1 Saturday shift per month.
