Responsibilities
- Prepare engaging lectures and lead practical, hands-on demonstrations in the lab.
- Monitor laboratory competencies and use checklists to confirm students are ready for the field.
- Track attendance, meet with students to encourage retention, and provide the extra support they need to graduate.
- Stay organized: record grades, follow the established curriculum, and ensure the classroom/lab environment meets all safety standards.
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree from an AVMA CVTEA-accredited program.
- Experience: At least three (3) years of practical, hands-on experience in the veterinary field as a Veterinary Technician.
- Licensure: Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) status (or other required state designation).
- Skills: Strong communication and basic tech skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
