Licensed Veterinary Technician
Mukilteo Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care.
About the role
This position is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment. You will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit.
Responsibilities
- Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
- Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Assisting in surgery
- Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
- Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
Requirements
- 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Washington
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
- Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
- Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
- Radiology positioning and safety protocols
- Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
- Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
- Accurate medical record documentation
- Client education and communication
- Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply.

Pay
$31–$34 per hour
Schedule
This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday.
