Licensed Veterinary Technician
Richland Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care.
About the role
In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit.
Responsibilities
- Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
- Assisting in surgery and with anesthesia monitoring
- Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
- Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
- Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
- Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
Requirements
- 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in the state of Washington
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
- Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
- Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
- Radiology positioning and safety protocols
- Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
- Client education and communication
- Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply.

Pay
$24–$28 per hour
Schedule
This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday–Friday. No weekends.
