Licensed Veterinary Technician
Animal Clinic of Kalispell is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care.
About the role
We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment—balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support. In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit. This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment.
Responsibilities
- Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
- Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Assist in surgery
- Perform dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
- Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Identify patient concerns and support efficient case management across the hospital
- Build strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
Requirements
- 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Montana
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
- Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
- Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
- Radiology positioning and safety protocols
- Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
- Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply.

Pay
$20–$25 per hour
Schedule
Full-time, 4/10 schedule (four 10-hour days) with availability needed Monday–Friday. No weekends.
