Licensed Veterinary Technician

Nottingham Pet Clinic is a well-established small animal clinic located in Syracuse, NY. Our practice is loved by the community for the kindness and compassion we provide. We offer wellness care and sick exams, as well as routine soft tissue surgeries and basic dental surgeries.

About the role

We are looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. Our current hours of operation are 8 am - 5 pm Monday through Friday. Applicants must have weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and vital signs of patients
• Intake/discharge of hospitalized and surgical patients
• Proficient in venipuncture, radiology, and anesthesia monitoring
• Maintain client educational material in an efficient manner
• Communicate doctor orders clearly to clients
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Take, process prescription refills in-house, call out pharmacy and online pharmacy
• Restrain and assist the doctor during exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures
• Perform dentistry
• Other duties as assigned
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periods

Requirements

• Current New York State Veterinary Technician License
• Able to multi-task and work well in a team
• Able to perform well in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
