What You Will Do
- Maintains consumer progress with treatment goals.
- Conducts clinical assessments to evaluate diagnostic eligibility and treatment needs.
- Provides cognitive behavioral therapy to reduce symptoms and enhance daily living skills.
- Offers crisis intervention to stabilize individuals and prevent hospitalization.
- Trains and educates consumers on mental illness and medication management.
- Affords assistance in accessing necessary care and services.
- Participates in the formulation and management of care plans.
- Evaluates and manages current and future medical needs.
- Completes required reporting and training in a timely manner.
- Maintains productivity standards and demonstrates ethical conduct.
- Adapts to changing work requirements and complies with agency policies.
Education
- Master’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in a social, behavioral, or human service field.
- Experience: 2 years in a mental health setting.
- Licensure: Clinical license through the State of Texas for LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
- Additional qualifications: Licenser credentials plus 1-2 years of clinical experience post-Master’s degree preferred.
Knowledge/Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
- Strong diagnostic skills, incorporating patient history, symptoms, and environmental factors.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
