Licensed Therapist (LPHA) - FCCI

What You Will Do

• Maintains consumer progress with treatment goals.
• Conducts clinical assessments to evaluate diagnostic eligibility and treatment needs.
• Provides cognitive behavioral therapy to reduce symptoms and enhance daily living skills.
• Offers crisis intervention to stabilize individuals and prevent hospitalization.
• Trains and educates consumers on mental illness and medication management.
• Affords assistance in accessing necessary care and services.
• Participates in the formulation and management of care plans.
• Evaluates and manages current and future medical needs.
• Completes required reporting and training in a timely manner.
• Maintains productivity standards and demonstrates ethical conduct.
• Adapts to changing work requirements and complies with agency policies.

Education

• Master’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in a social, behavioral, or human service field.
• Experience: 2 years in a mental health setting.
• Licensure: Clinical license through the State of Texas for LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• Additional qualifications: Licenser credentials plus 1-2 years of clinical experience post-Master’s degree preferred.

Knowledge/Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
• Strong diagnostic skills, incorporating patient history, symptoms, and environmental factors.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
