Licensed Therapist/Counselor

About the role

Freedom Behavioral of Monroe/West Monroe is seeking a Licensed Therapist to work in its Inpatient and Outpatient Therapy Programs. The therapist will be an integral part of the social services program, collaborating with therapy services, case management, education, and discharge planning teams to support patient well‑being while adhering to Joint Commission, federal and state regulations, Allegiance and Freedom policies, and Performance Improvement Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision of individual, group, and family sessions as indicated in supervisor notes.
• Participate as a member of the multi‑disciplinary team and engage in chart reviews for quality assurance.
• Work with the clinical department on discharge and after‑care planning, completion of discharge summaries, and clinical documentation.
• Provide guidance to clinical staff.
• Review psycho‑social documentation, complete outcome studies assessments, and develop clinical notes.
• Deliver clinical counseling services (group, individual, family) in an age/disability/culturally sensitive milieu.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must possess an LPC, LCSW, or LMSW, PLPC license in good standing with the State of Louisiana.
• Either be an LPC in Louisiana or hold an LMSW.
• Preferred: three (3) years of full‑time experience in psychotherapy.
• Excellent assertive communication skills, good writing and composition skills, and ability to organize and prioritize a high‑volume workload.
• Ability to work under close supervision.
• Therapeutic intervention/de‑escalation education.
• Must successfully complete CPR certification.
