Licensed Therapist Compliance Partner (OT, PT, SLP)
About the role
Ensign Services, Inc. (“ESI”) is a subsidiary of The Ensign Group, Inc., a leader in the post-acute care industry. ESI provides support services to over 378 facilities employing over 55,000 employees. The position is located near a major airport in one of the following areas: Sacramento, Modesto, Santa Rosa, or Davis, CA; or Medford or Portland, OR. The typical business hours are 40 hours per week, with travel required 70% of the time within California/Oregon and surrounding areas/states.
Responsibilities
- Performs Medicare claim review portion of internal compliance audits.
- Conducts internal investigations involving compliance issues.
- Tracks corrective action plans related to any adverse findings.
- Facilitate other required compliance activities.
- Travel required 70% of the time within California/Oregon and surrounding areas/states.
Requirements
- Must be an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech Therapist with at least five years’ experience in the skilled nursing environment.
- Expertise in MDS/PDPM coding rules and regulations.
- Understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing the skilled nursing industry.
- Ability to work with all levels of management on potentially complex compliance/regulatory issues.
Qualifications
- Occupational, Physical or Speech Language Pathologist Therapy License.
- Minimum of five years of SNF experience.
- Superior interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong writing skills required to write compliance reports, and other communications.
- Works well independently in a home office environment on long term projects and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Possesses and conveys high degree of credibility and integrity.
- Desired skills include analytical skills, understanding of operational processes, basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel, and a desire to improve Medicare management systems and organizational compliance.
Preferred Qualifications

- Understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing the skilled nursing industry.
- Ability to work with all levels of management on potentially complex compliance/regulatory issues.

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel.
