LICENSED THERAPIST

About the role

RHD Ocean County RIST is a residential intensive support team that provides the services needed to maintain independent living with community integration for individuals experiencing homelessness, chemical dependence and/or mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, assessment and therapeutic intervention to address the psychological, emotional and social needs of the youth, families and staff.
• Conduct intake assessments including recommendations for treatment.
• Provide individual, group and family therapies to people with mental health and substance abuse issues.
• Maintain active caseload including engaging individuals in ongoing treatment.
• Maintain tracking system for treatment plans, and other required documents to meet program funder guidelines and program goals.
• Participate in clinical group meetings regarding ongoing treatment goals, progress and discharge as needed.
• Enter documentation into electronic medical records in accordance with agency guidelines.
• Provide supervision to non-licensed therapists, counselors and other staff as needed to support state requirements for licensing.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human service field.
• State license is required (LPC, LMSW, LISW) as specified in the addendum based on program licensing/funder requirements.
• Familiar with standard business computer software programs and electronic Health Care Database programs.
• ACT 33/34 clearances if required by program
• FBI clearance, as needed
