About the Role

This position involves providing psychological services to students within a school district, focusing on assessment, intervention, and compliance with special education regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide referral information to students, families, programs, and professionals regarding the needs of referred students.
  • Obtain consent for psycho-educational evaluations.
  • Utilize various assessment instruments and techniques as part of a multidisciplinary team to identify students eligible for Special Education Services and determine appropriate intervention strategies.
  • Organize assignments to meet due dates and mandated timelines.
  • Write full and individual evaluation reports to address student needs and guide instruction.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments to assist in developing behavior intervention plans.
  • Provide Counseling as a Related Service evaluations and direct counseling to students on assigned caseload.
  • Participate in Manifestation Determination ARD Committee meetings.
  • Comply with all state and federal rules, laws, policies, and guidelines related to special education for students with disabilities.
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree, Specialist Degree, or Doctorate degree from an accredited university, or eligibility for Internship or LSSP trainee status.
  • Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or eligibility for Internship or LSSP trainee status.
  • Knowledge of the administration and interpretation of a wide variety of psychoeducational evaluation instruments.
  • Proficiency in district-provided software and technology, including the Special Education Data Management System.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the district.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to communicate in Spanish and/or Sign Language.

Pay

Minimum Salary: $76,285.00
Median Salary: $94,210.00
