Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations assessing social, emotional, and support needs of patients and families
- Set measurable objectives in conjunction with the rehab team
- Assist physicians and health team members in understanding significant social and emotional factors related to patient health
- Instruct and counsel patients and families on coping with social and emotional responses to illnesses
- Participate in care coordination and act as a resource for identifying and resolving patient needs
- Identify and assist patients/families in utilizing appropriate community resources to achieve objectives
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work (LCSW)
- Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or LMSW licensure in Nevada
- Minimum of one year experience in a rehabilitation setting serving individuals with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or acute diagnosis
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support), First Aid, and CPR certification
- Ability to lift 50 pounds; may involve lifting up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
- Fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to walk/stand for extended periods
- Physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and frequent positioning
