Responsibilities
- Perform overnight polysomnography (sleep studies) following established clinical protocols.
- Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout the testing process.
- Set up, calibrate, and monitor diagnostic equipment, including EEG, EKG, EMG, EOG, pulse oximetry, respiratory monitoring devices, and PAP therapy equipment.
- Observe patients during sleep studies and respond appropriately to clinical events.
- Accurately document, score, and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot and maintain sleep laboratory equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Educate patients regarding sleep disorders, CPAP/BiPAP therapy, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment while delivering outstanding customer service.
Qualifications
- Licensed Sleep Technologist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Current state licensure or credentialing, as applicable.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
- Strong computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
- Dependable, compassionate, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a night schedule of 3-4 shifts per week (12-hour shifts) or a day schedule of 5 shifts per week (8-hour shifts), with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
