About the role

Your schedule will include 36 hours in week one and 48 hours in week two. Daily tasks involve assessing and monitoring patients' respiratory and ventilatory needs, administering treatments, and providing education on respiratory health. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans and respond to emergencies with prompt and decisive action. During each shift, you'll engage in hands-on procedures, utilizing cutting-edge technology to enhance patient outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on empathetic communication, ensuring patients and their families feel informed and supported throughout their treatment. You will also participate in routine quality assurance checks and maintain accurate documentation of all clinical activities.
Requirements
- Current Respiratory (LRT) licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners
- One year of acute hospital respiratory experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome
- Strong communication skills for patient rapport and team collaboration
- Proficiency in using respiratory care equipment and software
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

Schedule
