About the role

The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health services, including individual, couples, and family therapy, to clients experiencing a wide range of emotional, psychological, and behavioral issues. The therapist will work in a supportive environment that emphasizes collaboration, professional development, and a client-centered approach to care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions to clients dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, and life transitions
  • Assess client needs through intake evaluations and clinical assessments
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on client goals and needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
  • Use evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other therapeutic modalities
  • Provide crisis intervention as necessary and assess risk for suicide or harm
  • Foster a safe, nonjudgmental, and confidential environment for clients
  • Stay current on mental health, best practices and relevant continuing education

Requirements

  • Valid, active license to practice in the state of Texas (LPC or LPC-S)
  • Master's degree in counseling or a related mental health field
  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and clinical documentation requirements
  • Experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • PREFERRED: Experience using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, or trauma-informed care
  • PREFERRED: Experience with telehealth services
  • PREFERRED: Business-fluent Spanish and English
  • PREFERRED: Experience with couples and/or family counseling

Qualifications

  • Flexible Schedule: Our Counselors are required to work a minimum of 6 hours per week. You can control your schedule and pick the demographic of clients you want to work with
  • Referrals: We receive over 120 new clients per week. We find your clients and fill them in on your calendar
  • Insurance Process: We handle all billing and insurance issues. If there is a problem you will still be paid
