Senior Care Therapy is seeking full-time or part-time Licensed Professional Counselors to join our mission of providing in-person psychotherapy services to the geriatric population. We serve over 300 Skilled Nursing Facilities, including sub-acute, long-term care, and assisted livings throughout NJ, NY, PA, and MD. As a clinician-owned and operated company, SCT provides supportive counseling through patient-centered psychology services that impact residents' mood, functioning, and overall quality of life. By collaborating with facility staff, we aim to improve outcomes for both residents and care teams.

About the role

We handle all administrative responsibilities—including billing, insurance, credentialing, and pre-certifications—so you can focus on providing exceptional clinical care. This role offers flexible daytime hours, autonomy, and no administrative tasks, cancellations, or no-shows.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions for patients in subacute or skilled nursing facilities.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat emotional and behavioral health conditions, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and cognitive decline.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Collaborate with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and family members to support patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards using our clinician-designed EHR system.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of application.
  • Effective oral and written communication in English.
  • Basic proficiency with technology, including electronic health records (EHR).
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to provide in-person services at assigned facilities, with travel up to 45 minutes.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move between patient rooms and offices throughout the day.
  • Full vaccination and booster status may be required in some facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous clinical experience in a subacute, long-term care, or geriatric healthcare setting.
  • History of treating anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders.
  • Psychology or addictions experience is a plus.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Pay

  • Salary ranges from $56,000–$90,000 with uncapped fee-for-service (FFS) bonus opportunities.
  • Sign-on bonus up to $6,000 for full-time employees.
  • Part-time fee-for-service opportunities available.
