Licensed Professional Counselor
About the role
The Licensed Professional Counselor practices in a treatment setting under clinical supervision and is dedicated to evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric and substance use disorders. This position will provide specialized psychotherapy services, as described in the CPT, to reduce and /or resolve symptoms of psychiatric and/or substance use disorders identified.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with patient/support system to evaluate and diagnose patients.
- Utilize established approaches and standards; complete assessment of patient risk to self and/or others; complete and implement risk reduction/mitigation plans to ensure patient and community safety.
- Incorporate evidence-based approaches to psychotherapy including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and the recovery model.
- Work under clinical supervision, in a licensing board-approved plan of supervision to achieve licensure with a Board-qualified supervisor certified by the OR state Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology or related field.
- Oregon Professional Counselor License upon hire.
- One year Master's level practicum in a behavioral health setting in an accredited college or university internship.
- Additional experience in substance use treatment setting preferred.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
