About the role

The Adult Outpatient Clinic is seeking a Therapist to conduct intake assessments, deliver mental health care, and provide resources tailored to individual patient needs. This role involves counseling, therapy, and crisis intervention using evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to clients and families using evidence-based interventions.
  • Develop treatment plans, biopsychosocial assessments, discharge plans, and follow-up care programs in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, reassessments, and progress notes within required timeframes.
  • Participate in crisis assessments, interventions, referrals, and follow-up services.
  • Ensure documentation, authorizations, and required signatures are complete and current.
  • Collect patient data through interviews, case histories, and observational techniques to determine therapeutic approaches or referrals.
  • Manage a specialized caseload, including research, case assessments, and individualized studies for admission, placement, or discharge.
  • Provide or arrange therapeutic interventions for patients in crisis or with serious disturbance issues.
  • Follow up to evaluate treatment reliability and validity; recommend modifications to services as needed.
  • Consult with legal and treatment agencies regarding patient/client records, rights, and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with other therapists and professionals; refer clients to appropriate service agencies.
  • Maintain licensure, attend required training and staff meetings, and uphold agency policies and professional standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, counseling education, human services, or a related field.
  • Active Georgia license to provide mental health services (LPC, LAPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.).
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2–4+ years of clinically supervised counseling, assessment, and crisis intervention experience.

Final pay rate will be dependent on qualifications such as experience and education. At this time, CSB of Middle Georgia will not sponsor employment authorization for this position.
