Job Summary
Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our Key Bank communities. The Private Client Banker (PCB) is part of the Key Private Client Program and will focus on the entire client relationship with a plan-based approach to financial advice.
Responsibilities
- Em Bodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially.
- Listens for clues for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations and provides effective and customized financial wellness recommendations to clients.
- Delivers on client solutions through referring of investment and insurance products.
- Consistently attains individual activity, behavior, and outcome expectations.
- Buils a client referral pipeline via identification and development of internal and external centers of influence; employs a disciplined approach to prospecting; documents calling efforts.
- Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of private client products and services, as well as knowledge of competitive products and services to ensure meaningful in-depth financial wellness conversations with clients.
- Opening personal and business accounts (consumer checking, small business, various deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, certificates of deposit, etc.).
- Develops strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners – focusing on client acquisition and deepening the relationship of current clients; effectively managing internal and external centers of influence.
- Suerts compliance with operational, risk, security and audit procedures and policies including appropriate documentation of client interactions.
- Supports branch operations including assisting with client transactions on the Teller line as needed.
- Participates in and occasionally facilitates morning huddles and end of day debriefs.
- Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.
Qualifications
- HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA, GED, or equivalent experience (REQUIRED)
- BACHELOR'S DEGREE (PREFERRED)
- EXPERIENCE IN DEVELOPING CURRENT AND NEW CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS, ACHIEVING SALES GOALS AND BUILDING REFERRAL SOURCES IN INSURANCE AND INVESTMENT PRODUCTS (REQUIRED)
- FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE OF SALES AND SERVICE TECHNIQUES WITH CLIENTS, INCLUDING TELE-CONSULTING, OUTSIDE CALLING, PROSPECTING AND NETWORKING (REQUIRED)
- COMFORTABLE INTERACTING WITH SMALL BUSINESS CLIENTS, OVERCOMING OBJECTIONS, AND ASKING FACT-FINDING QUESTIONS WITH THE GOAL OF BEING HELPFUL (PREFERRED)
- DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE WITH INFLUENCING BUSINESS PARTNERS AND LEVERAGING CENTERS OF INFLUENCE, AS THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE SIGNIFICANT INFLUENCE OF PARTNERS SUCH AS KEY INVESTMENT SERVICES, MORTGAGE AND BUSINESS BANKING SALES PROFESSIONALS (REQUIRED)
- WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF PCs (MS WINDOWS AND OFFICE PRODUCTS INCLUDING WORD, EXCEL, ETC.) (REQUIRED)
- WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY (MOBILE, APPS, WEB-BASED BROWSING) AND ABILITY TO EDUCATE CLIENTS ON DIGITAL PLATFORMS AND CAPABILITIES WITHIN KEY (REQUIRED)

Driving Requirements
