Role Overview

The Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) reviews and authorizes Integrated Assessment and Treatment Plans (IATPs), providing clinical guidance to ensure compliance with standards. They conduct behavioral health assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapy to individuals, families, or groups with behavioral health needs. They also perform crisis evaluations, coordinate with emergency and community services, and document all activities per regulatory requirements. The LPHA may supervise clinicians and students, participate in training, and ensure clinical documentation meets standards. They act as a liaison between clients and community resources, supporting treatment goals and safety planning.

Qualifications & Skills

• License/certification: LCPC, LCSW, LMFT
• Master’s Degree in a related field
• Minimum of two years’ experience in behavioral health
• Strong assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning skills
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational abilities
• Ability to interpret regulations and provide clinical guidance
• Competence in crisis intervention and risk assessment, including suicidal behavior
