Responsibilities
- Support daily living needs, observe patient behavior, and assist with therapeutic interventions
- Record vital signs, document care clearly, and follow physician orders for medication and treatments
- Use crisis prevention methods and infection control techniques in all patient interactions
- Share patient updates with supervising nurses and exchange information clearly with staff and patients
- Adapt to changing assignments, assist coworkers, and contribute to a respectful and constructive environment
Requirements
- Active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania
- All employees with an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within one year as defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing
- Eligible if within 60 days of completing a licensed practical nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing
- Must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Licensed Practical Nurse license at the time of appointment
- Must be able to perform essential job functions
Legal Requirements
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. A conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance. A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening test.
Schedule
Full-time employment
- Hours during training: 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Work hours: 2nd shift (3:20 PM – 11:20 PM), Sunday through Saturday
- Two paid 15-minute breaks
- Beginning 9/12/26, work hours will be 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch
- 4-week pattern – work every other weekend and holidays as assigned
- Overtime: as needed, subject to emergency call; may change based on operational needs

Pay
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $68,914.00 (before taxes).
