Description Of Work
- Provide professional nursing care and treatment in accordance with medical protocols.
- Work independently to carry out nursing processes to offenders arriving at the Sandy Ridge Bus Terminal on transfer buses.
- Responsible for overseeing the daily nursing care activities to include administering medications and treatments as directed by physician.
- Responsible for appropriate treatment and medical documentation.
- Work is performed under the general supervision of a Lead Nurse or Nurse Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
- Documented knowledge in the principles and practices of nursing care.
- Documented knowledge in planning, implementing and evaluating patient care.
- Documented knowledge of medication and medical terminology.
- Documented knowledge in communicating information to patients related to treatment and patient care.
- A current, unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina.
