Licensed Practical Nurse - PRN

About the role

As a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Pella, IA. Schedule covers two nearby sites during clinic hours:

• Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thu: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and collaboration under the supervision of healthcare providers, and within scope of practice
• Performs and documents medical tasks to include medication administration, wound care, observes reactions to treatments, and specimen collection such as urine, blood, and sputum based on provider orders
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Current Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse license in state of practice
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers
• At least three years of clinical experience as LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting
