About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse at Ken-Ton Family Care Center delivers outpatient nursing care through planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients of all ages, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician. Maintains departmental policies, quality improvement programs, safety, environmental, and infection control standards while ensuring confidentiality of all hospital and staff information.

Schedule

Office hours: Monday–Thursday, 7 am–5 pm; Friday, 8 am–4 pm. Scheduled shifts vary within these hours (e.g., 7 am–3 pm, 8 am–4 pm, 9 am–5 pm).

Responsibilities

• Administer nursing care to outpatients across the lifespan.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with healthcare providers.
• Uphold departmental policies, objectives, quality improvement, safety, and infection control standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of hospital and staff information.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current New York State Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Successful completion of a pharmacy competency test.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant/current outpatient experience preferred, particularly in pediatrics, OB/GYN, and/or Medicine.
• Previous occupational health or infection control experience is beneficial.
