Responsibilities

• Supports residents by interviewing patients to determine medical problems/conditions and documenting in medical records.
• Obtains and records patient’s vital signs and weight.
• Aids physicians during patient examinations as needed.
• Reviews physician’s orders, lab requests, or follow-up needs with patients and documents services performed for billing purposes.
• Observes patients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to physician, supervisor, etc.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Notes time and amount on patients' charts.
• Knowledgeable of common actions, usual dosages, and side effects.
• Assembles and uses equipment such as catheters, pressure relief equipment, and oxygen supplies.
• Collects samples for laboratory testing such as urine and sputum, and performs routine tests on samples.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of practice.
• Maintain a current CPR Certification.
• Customer service oriented with knowledge of successful customer service techniques.
• Ability to understand residents’ charts, doctor’s orders, residents’ plan of care, medication orders.
• Maintain IV Certification if required in the state of practice.
• Understanding of current Antibiotic Stewardship, Infection Prevention & Infection Control and OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.
• Ability to pass drug, criminal and employment screenings.

Pay

Pay Range: $24 - $30.50 per hour (based on years of experience)

Schedule

Week One: 11pm-7am Monday
Week Two: 11pm-7am Sunday/Monday (Every Other Weekend Required)
