Licensed Practical Nurse - Orthopedics

Optum NY, formerly Optum Tri-State NY, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse - Sports Medicine to join their team in Rock Hill, NY. This position is part of the Optum Care Delivery team, dedicated to improving healthcare for everyone.

Schedule

4, 10-hour shifts: 8am - 6pm or 7:30am - 5:30pm Locations: Middletown, NY (travel to Rock Hill, NY once per week)

Primary Responsibilities

- Provides nursing care to patients/significant others via direct and/or telephone contact, following established standards and practices - Coordinates with other members of the care team to ensure seamless care delivery, maximal coordination of efforts, and active patient participation in planning and care - Assists physician or other provider with clinical procedures and participates in patient teaching - Provides Direction To: Clerical assistants, medical assistants, and other non-licensed personnel

Required Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing - New York State (NYS) license with current NYS registration, in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

- Current CPR/BLS certification - 1+ years of experience as a licensed practical nurse or 2+ years as a Medical Assistant in a pertinent practice area

Pay

Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.38 to $36.44 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
