Licensed Practical Nurse (Nights) - $5k Sign-On Bonus

About the role

Valley Hope of O'Neill has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their dedicated and passionate team. The position offers a starting base pay of $30 - $33/hr (based on education and experience), a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and benefits including medical coverage, dental and vision plans, up to 27 days of paid time off, and more.

Responsibilities

• Executes prescribed treatments and medication interventions as established for each patient.
• Implements nursing care in accordance with Valley Hope’s medical philosophies, policies, and procedures as well as any other regulating bodies to ensure quality patient care.
• Conducts detox admissions and provides patient care during patient detoxification process including pre-screening of patients, obtaining physical assessment data and health history, administering detox treatment plans, and monitoring of patient.
• Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely; completes paperwork requirements as needed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communicates with nursing supervisors, nursing staff, and clinical staff regarding patients’ treatment and status.
• Maintains a safe and sanitary environment applying infection control techniques and universal precautions.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures regarding patient information protection and HIPAA.
• Affords support to non-licensed nursing staff as instructed by and under the direction of the facility Nursing Director.

Requirements

Licensed as a Nurse to practice in the state of employment. Work experience in substance abuse treatment industry is preferred. CPR and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an approved practical nursing program. Current license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in the state of employment.

Skills

Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and a compassionate nature are essential. Knowledge of addiction treatment principles and practices is beneficial.
