Licensed Practical Nurse - NewYork-Presbyterian-Hudson Valley Medical Group – Family Medicine – Yorktown Heights - Full Time Days

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care as delegated by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. They contribute to the plan of patient care and assist in providing a therapeutic environment. This position functions within the policies and procedures of NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group (NYPMG), divisions, and the Clinical Nursing departments/practices.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care as delegated by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Contributes to the plan of patient care and assists in providing a therapeutic environment.
• Functions within the policies and procedures of NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group (NYPMG), divisions, and the Clinical Nursing departments/practices.
• This is a full time Monday-Friday 40-hour work week. Must be flexible with variable hours from 8:00am – 5:00pm.
• Must be willing to travel/provide coverage across various Hudson Valley Medical Group locations listed above as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• BLS.
• Current Licensure and registration as a LPN in New York State.
• Knowledge in Principals of infection control, performance improvements and delegation.
