Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and competent care within a correctional healthcare setting.
• Play a critical role in daily patient care, emergency response, chronic disease management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Utilize assessment and critical-thinking skills to contribute to positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Current LVN License in the State of Texas, or ability to transfer license to Texas, or scheduled to complete a program of vocational nursing within 120 days of applying for a position.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• New graduates must pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) on the first attempt.
• No prior experience required.

Qualifications
